Competing sailboats of all classes gather at the center mark on Folsom Lake for informal, rabbit start racing (no Race Committee). Race committee may be on course and running traditional 5-minute starts. There is no entry fee and all boats are welcomed to participate. Just show up and look for other sailboats near the center mark.
The animation at left shows how rabbit starts occur. The rabbit is in red. If confused, hail any sailor and they'll be happy to explain.
Summer sunsets and dependable evening breezes make for spectacular sailing.
