My name is Angie Accomando and I have just moved to Orangevale from Syracuse NY. (I originally come from Penryn, but I have spent the last eleven years out of state) I have been a member of the Oswego Yacht Club (Oswego, NY) on Lake Ontario for three years, crewing on a J-30 and a J-24. My main positions were trimming the Genoa and flying the spinnaker. I participated regularly in PHRFs for the three years I was a club member and one year prior to that, and several regattas on Lake Ontario. I wouldn't classify myself as an advanced sailor, but I am eager to learn and this coming January I will be in Key West for the J-World beginners racing class.
Learning to sail in NY got me hooked, and I would enjoy any opportunity to crew with any skipper who needs crew. Again, I'd like to stress I am NOT the most experienced sailor in the world but I am very eager to learn and I adapt quickly. | I’m looking for crew for Flying Dutchman racing. Ideal candidate would be able to meet once a week to practice, and race one weekend a month. Shared expenses entrance fees and gas would be an added bonus. I will maintain boat expenses. We race at Richmond, Sacramento, Inverness, St. Francis, Lake Huntington, and Tahoe in the future.
